北宋官窑稀少珍贵，这件环耳瓶存世罕见。月白釉开鳝血丝纹片更是难得。该器造型优美古朴，上小下大，器身排满弦纹，撇口环耳，露胎圈足底，胎土为浅褐色。极具北宋瓷风，经典收藏难得佳品。

瓶撇口,細頸,溜肩,扁腹,圈足。頸兩側對稱置魚形耳,魚尾上卷,其上掛環,環下端貼於瓶頸。圈足光素,底部露胎,灰胎,略帶火石紅,整器釉色青綠。瓶身自上而下依次剔劃不同層次的紋飾：口沿下為蕉葉紋,頸部為纏枝花紋,瓶腹以桃形開光的形式,內飾獨幅折枝花,開光之外為隨形佈滿的纏枝蓮花紋。

圓口，束頸，垂腹，腹中微凸弦紋一圈，下腹收斂，圈足，足底無釉，火石紅明顯。頸部兩側飾雙螭龍耳帶環。器身通體施以青釉，胎體厚重，釉層凝厚。腹部刻繪折枝花卉紋，技藝嫻熟，毫無做作和滯澀之感，頸部雙弦紋以上飾飾蕉葉紋。整體造型古樸渾厚，規整大氣，釉光瑩潤可人，清雅雋麗，足面厚實，修胎粗率，耳口比例恰當，無不表現出明代龍泉窯製器的全面特徵。龍泉窯是我國製瓷史上的一個重要窯系，因主要產區位於浙江龍泉而得名，龍泉青瓷是中國傳統製瓷珍品。

General light surface wear and expected firing imperfections. The glaze is degraded, and there are some chips to the foot.

说明：此瓶盘口，长颈，折肩，直筒腹，圈足，颈部两侧置对称双鱼耳，故名鱼耳瓶。通体施粉青釉，仅足端无釉。釉质醇厚匀净，莹润光亮。此式鱼耳瓶堪称龙泉窑之经典力作，造型典雅，富于韵味而历来广受好评，且为公私收藏所喜。此瓶所附双耳似为摩羯鱼，为佛教圣物之化身。摩羯原又称为鱼龙，为佛教中的一种神鱼，龙首鱼身，亦为印度神话中的河水之精，生命之本，可创造一切，也可融化万物。大藏经《一切经音义》卷四十云：“摩羯者，梵语也。海中大鱼，吞噬一切。”

说明：宋代瓷器多有仿青铜器的造型，此对双环耳瓶乃仿三代铜壶的造型。瓶喇叭口，细颈，颈上两道弦纹，两组弦纹上接兽面衔环耳，环与瓶身相接。鼓腹下收，瓶身贴塑缠枝牡丹纹，下呈圈足，足内底见旋削痕。露胎处火石红明显，并有粘沙现象。瓶身施罩青釉，色如梅子轻熟。此器端庄厚重， 颇有上古铜器遗韵。

描述：
侈口長頸圓腹瓶。頸部兩側帶獸耳銜環，獸雕細緻，圓環斜落於肩部。圈足微侈，並以弦紋劃刻若三階狀。全器釉色綠而略透，多雜質，頸與下腹部多深色開片，足圈及裡部均無釉，呈紅褐色。器壁刻花為飾，頸部但見斜線紋，圖案不明；腹部拱花浮雕，前後各一折枝雙花紋，花葉工整而形式化。兩側於耳下直劃雙線紋為邊飾。下腹以弦紋為界，飾短蓮瓣紋。

Several vases of this form without added decorative motifs are published. Two undecorated vases with very similar flattened ribbed handles dated to the 13th/14th century are in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Istanbul, illustrated in Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum, London, 1986, pp. 220-221, nos. 200 and 201. One in the Metropolitan Museum is illustrated in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The World’s Great Collections Oriental Ceramics vol. 12, fig. 63. Two other vases were sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 1 June 2011, lot 3821, and 30 November 2011, lot 3008.

Curator’s comments Rawson 1992:
Both the green glaze and the shape refer self-conciously to an ancient jade form. Such item would have been used on household altars or on desks in scholar’s studies. Although ancient ritual jades and bronzes went out of use for a time after the Han dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), they were revived from the Song period (AD 960-1279), as were ceramics based upon them.

The square handles and ring illustrate the metal origins of the shape of the vase. Similar examples have been excavated in Chinese tombs dating to the fifteenth and sixteenth century, suggesting that the shape was particularly popular at that time.
