喜鹊纹，瓷器装饰题材之一。两只喜鹊寓意双喜，和獾子一起寓意欢喜。和豹子一起寓意报喜。喜鹊和莲在一起寓意得喜得连科。
清代喜鹊纹饰才广为流传，其中尤以喜鹊登梅纹较常见。喜鹊又称报喜鸟，梅与“眉”谐音，喜鹊登梅有“喜上眉梢”之吉祥喻意。

Chinese Rosewood Carved Tea Table

Stunning 19th century Chinese carved rosewood tea table or side table featuring an intricate pierced frieze on all four sides. Supported by delicate faux bamboo motif legs joined by a hump back stretcher. The table appears to have had three stretchers originally. The top has a galleried edge with a bamboo carved detail. Beautifully grained rosewood with a rich faded patina.

Dimensions: 20″w x 14.5″d x 28″h

Circa: 19th Century, China

Condition: Distressed, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully aged patina with one stretcher missing and old repairs.

Circa 1900, wonderful nest of 4 Chinese rosewood antique tables, the rectangular tops with a faux bamboo carved frame and an open fretwork frieze with decorations of vine leaves and grapes on all sides. The four legs are also faux bamboo with wonderful colour all united by a turned stretcher. Tables are in perfect condition.

Description
Circa 1900, Chinese quartetto of hongmu occasional tables. The 4 tables have a wonderful mellow colour with a faux bamboo frame. The apron with open fretwork of carved cherry blossom continues on all 4 sides. The tables are polished on all sides and freestanding. All the tables have cross stretchers on the sides and the back, except for the smallest table which has stretchers on all sides. All of the tables are clean and sturdy and very stylish.
