篮釉缠枝莲四方花盆

　　素三彩缠枝莲纹长方水仙盆，明正德，高7.2厘米，口径23.8厘米×15.2厘米，足径23.1厘米×14.2厘米。

　　盆呈长方体，四面略斜收，下承以六足。盆内及外底均施白釉。外壁素三彩装饰，以黄、绿、紫设色，腹部以紫色为地以绿彩绘花草纹。口沿下署青花楷书“正德年制”四字款，外围青花双方栏。紫釉掩映下的青花款呈蓝黑色。

　　素三彩虽自明代成化时已初具形制，但直至正德时才享有盛誉。此器造型别致，构图简练生动，色调清新明快，色彩搭配协调，给人以古朴雅致之美感。

　　明代自正德朝开始，瓷器的质量已呈下降的趋势，琢器类多带器座，接痕日渐明显，大器底足远不及永乐、宣德、成化时的细腻光滑。但就正德素三彩而言，却成就卓著，成为显赫一时的名贵品种。

the slightly waisted cylindrical body rising from a flat countersunk base, carved around the exterior with a leafy peony scroll and covered overall in a mid-blue glaze, the interior and base white, the base with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark in underglaze-blue
13.5 cm, 5 1/4 in.
The brushpot is in general good condition with the exception of small nibbles at the rim, and shallow chips at the foot (largest approx. 1.5×0.5 cm). There are some minor firing flaws including an approx. 0.8×0.4 cm glaze imperfection to the exterior, and minor burst bubbles and iron spots.
