A very similar jade box and cover were among the precious offerings recovered from the ‘underground palace’ (digong) of the Jingzhi Temple pagoda at Dingzhou, Hebei province, which was built in AD 977, included in the exhibition Treasures from the Underground Palaces. 鎏金莲瓣形银茶盒 高7.5厘米,腹径9.5厘米,足径6.5厘米(图5)。四出莲瓣形。盒顶圆弧,盒盖和盒身部子母口相接,直腹,腹部下收,四曲喇叭形圈足。顶部捶刻一对衔草鹦鹉,相间缠枝莲花,底部以鱼子纹衬底,盖底腹部装饰一周缠枝菊花连续纹样。

本器銅胎鎏金,鏤空鏨刻番蓮紋飾,枝葉翻捲自如,鏨工精緻,蓋鑲嵌白玉,結構巧妙,精美華麗。乾隆朝所製層盒,多為疊撞式,每層可單獨打開。然此盒各層於一側以合頁相連,每層旋轉打開,造型新奇靈巧,趣味盎然。此層盒樣式甚罕,應用於存放珠寶首飾及貴重物品。
一造型類同例售於巴黎蘇富比2014年6月10日,編號4。一帶乾隆年款琺瑯層盒,器中一層鏨折枝花卉紋,原屬 Nino Marakovic 舊藏,售於香港蘇富比2003年4月27日,編號4。
花卉蝴蝶紋飾寓意吉祥,常見於各類藝術品上。此器合頁兩側飾蝴蝶,寓意幸福美滿,蝙蝠為福壽象徵。俯瞰相連兩層同時由軸心展開,猶如雙喜臨門,喜慶吉祥。此盒極有可能是婚慶禮物。

碗口作六瓣葵花式,直壁,撇足。碗通体以珍珠地为底,口沿作随形花瓣纹装饰。碗身以葵瓣分隔,每区内作开光,内各有一罗汉形像。开光之间以缠枝花卉点缀。近足处装饰有两侧莲瓣纹。通观整器,可见其宗教气息,应是宋代用于供奉在佛堂寺庙案台之上的器物。其造型规制尚有唐代金银器的风韵,然对于人物的刻划,仅用简单线条即勾勒出罗汉生动、自在的形象。胎体轻薄,纹饰突破了唐代传统的规制,素雅生动,已颇具宋代艺术的特征。来源:金玉圭璋—香港私人珍藏,购于20世纪90年代
