随着玻璃制造新技术的引入，十八世纪初期玻璃制品中出现了更广泛的颜色和形状。 与花瓶相比，叠印技术更多地应用于鼻烟壶，而本件花瓶因其独特的几何设计而更加不寻常。 与2018年11月28日香港佳士得拍卖的另一件北京贴花玻璃花瓶（拍品编号2934）相比，该花瓶在半透明的底色上饰有不透明的白色斑点。
With the introduction of new techniques in glass making, a much wider variety of colours and shapes in glassworks emerged during the early eighteenth century. The overlay technique was more often applied on snuff bottles than vases, and the present vase is even more unusual for its distinctive geometric design. Compare with another Beijing overlay glass vase from the same period sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 28 November 2018, lot 2934, which is decorated with opaque white splashes on a translucent ground.
