About
A fabulous pair of gold snake chain bracelets from the Retro (ca1940) era! Each of these matching bracelets is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a flexible snake-like design. At each end of the piece is a push clasp, fastening the two ends securely together. One of the clasps is stamped “14K” on the tongue along with a small hallmark. A safety latch at the side of the clasp provides extra security when worn. The bracelets have a nice weight and are very comfortable to wear, due to their smooth, yet flexible design. They could be worn separately or stacked together for a stylish layered look. Though they are priced as a set, each bracelet could be individually priced and sold separately if desired. A perfect everyday accessory for the modern woman, this fabulous bracelet set would compliment any sense of fashion! Each individual bracelet measures 7 3/4″ long, 3/8″ wide and 1/4″ thick, and has a pennyweight of 27.5 dwt.

Unusual Victorian Black Snake Bracelet

Super unusual, large blackened brass snake bracelet from the late 19th Century. We have handled these as necklaces and bracelets but always in a gilt finish with a jeweled drop. This one is very different, highly unusual and super cool. This is an antique 19th Century Goth version in japanned brass with faux demantoid garnet eyes and a pave floriform petal drop. An entwined snake symbolized infinity and eternal love. The bracelet also is worn in a highly unusual fashion. The snake’s chain (body) forms the bracelet and the tail is the slide which adjusts the size. The head tends to swing about as the weight of the chain follows. The long chain and head dangle ominously below the wrist so its an very alarming (at first) sight, yet beautiful in its effect. This bracelet basically trains you on how to position your arm and hand if you want to show it to full effect. Fashion is sacrifice and this bracelet definitely requires a bit of that. Amazing 19th Century fashionista jewel. 1890’s USA. Excellent condition. Fits any size wrist. Snake head 2.25″ x .75″. Length 12.5″.
